LLG: Biggest takeaway I learned today is that it’s not about finding our passion, like it’s hidden and we need to go search it– it’s about developing our passion. Today was about de-cluttering my Chrome files. Skimmed through over 65 articles I’ve bookmarked and found 3 sites to be shareable: Coffitivity.com (do you go to coffee shops to get your work done since you need the background noise? well, this site has recorded coffee shop background noise lol). RescueTime.com (this app will calculate how much time you spend on what sites/apps in a day). Bubbl.us (free online software to mind map).

Giving thanks to Joanne for her insights, the will to get unstuck, my organizational skills, my savings, and the small wins. #tumblr

LLG: I learned today that I CAN be the person who I want to become. I learned that being there for those that can use my wisdom, skill, or life experience is what keeps me going. Finished watching the blind auditions for the Voice and learned that I want to have a loud enough voice that can encourage others to turn their lives around.

Thankful for blue skies, new found trails, my two working feet, my eye sight, and the encouraging words through my ears as I listened to music on my walk this afternoon. #tumblr

LLG: Learned that duolingo, lingo deer, and drops all has it’s pros to teach me Korean. Tonight’s episode of 911: is the phrase “come on up to my room” a learned behavior? I instinctively thought she was going upstairs to see a guy. It turns out it was her boss, and she was supposed to do a presentation. As an employee, especially as a women employee, where can we draw the line? Should she have texted back to say to meet her at the lobby? I think the most important take away of the episode is that it’s not what you strive to do and the dreams you wish to accomplish, it’s really about if you feel like you’ve lived your life to the fullest, and if not, why not? You’ve got one chance to live. Natural disasters, earthquakes, anything can happen tomorrow. Would you have spent your day the same way if you had known you had one more day to live?

Grateful for safety, a roof over my head, photographs to remind me of past moments, Sean’s check ups, and knowing you’re reading this post.

LLG: today, I learned to trust my instincts when creating recipes. I trust my understanding of flavors and am willing to experiment. I learned that if I can be as creative and free as I am with the job search as my cooking, I’d be in a good place. Learned how to say a few food related foods in Korean.

Grateful for the new season of 911, good food, an abundance of 青じそ、子供大学、and 朝ドラ主題歌 Playlist on Spotify. #tumblr

LLG: Learned that you can post lists as a FB post. Also learned I have the time to learn a new language, next up: Korean. Learned that volunteering abroad may not be for me. I’ll have to figure out how to substitute it/achieve the same goals elsewhere.

Grateful for duolingo, Tuesdays with Morrie, the book about learning service, Japanese TV shows, and organizational skills. #tumblr

LLG: Learned that being open to learning is key to learning. Learned how to zentangle. Learned to take it easy.

Gratitude goes to Carpenters, WSU football, good food, ice cream, and Satou Takeru.

LLG: Learning that I’m proactively seeking things to learn as the day goes. (the method works). Learned that I need a new scenery in order to focus. Saw a post on FB that said “You’re not a true ally if your spouse or best friend is homophobic” and I learned I have a lot of work still to be done as an ally.

Thankful for streaming videos, Chopped episodes, job posts, eucalyptus oil, and the calm app. #tumblr

LLG: After some trial and error, learned and executed a way to have my FB post with a certain hashtag to be posted on my tumblr site using the IFTTT platform (Yes, I’m starting to write again). I also learned the app doesn’t backdate posts, so I manually backdated the posts into Tumblr (good thing I only had a little over a week’s worth of posts). I also learned a bit about the life of a recruiter thanks to a past colleague from AiS.

Grateful for connections I’ve held on to since 2007, LinkedIn, AiS stories, clearer vision for my future, and dance workouts that’ll kill me tomorrow.
