Lessons Learned & Gratitude
LLG: today, I learned to trust my instincts when creating recipes. I trust my understanding of flavors and am willing to experiment. I learned that if I can be as creative and free as I am with the job search as my cooking, I’d be in a good place. Learned how to say a few food related foods in Korean.

LLG: Learned that you can post lists as a FB post. Also learned I have the time to learn a new language, next up: Korean. Learned that volunteering abroad may not be for me. I’ll have to figure out how to substitute it/achieve the same goals elsewhere.

LLG: Learned that being open to learning is key to learning. Learned how to zentangle. Learned to take it easy.

LLG: Learning that I’m proactively seeking things to learn as the day goes. (the method works). Learned that I need a new scenery in order to focus. Saw a post on FB that said “You’re not a true ally if your spouse or best friend is homophobic” and I learned I have a lot of work still to be done as an ally.
Thankful for streaming videos, Chopped episodes, job posts, eucalyptus oil, and the calm app. #tumblr
LLG: After some trial and error, learned and executed a way to have my FB post with a certain hashtag to be posted on my tumblr site using the IFTTT platform (Yes, I’m starting to write again). I also learned the app doesn’t backdate posts, so I manually backdated the posts into Tumblr (good thing I only had a little over a week’s worth of posts). I also learned a bit about the life of a recruiter thanks to a past colleague from AiS.
Grateful for connections I’ve held on to since 2007, LinkedIn, AiS stories, clearer vision for my future, and dance workouts that’ll kill me tomorrow.

LLG: Learned that chiko-chan’s voice is kimunii. Learned that LCSC is south of Pullman. Also learned that the answer to the question “who am I?” hasn’t shifted for a while and that’s somewhat concerning to me. It’s like I’m on auto pilot on how I answer that. Need to find different ways to express myself.

LLG: Today’s learning stemmed on action. Learned that I’m definitely in the middle of a transition, but that doesn’t necessarily mean i’m stuck. The next steps are to act on the things that are surfacing. Need to leverage myself. Learned that I have a balanced E/I and N/S personality. The constant has been FJ. We can all read and take in information– it’s what we do with the learning that sets us apart. Slowly learning about different job titles among my LinkedIn network, hoping to get further my understanding.
Thankful for self-awareness, exercise worksheets, methods of application, brainstorming, and cravings (got my jam and pint of ice cream #happypo).
LLG: We’ve all been there where we feel helpless. This show reiterates the importance for all of us to learn or re-learn how to care for mental health. I’ve learned that there’s a disconnect between who I know I am and what I hope to be. Learned about a new site called www.futureme.org where you can write a letter to your future self. I’m hoping I can start that letter soon. I’m learning I need to stop internalizing.
My gratitude goes to Project 137, using my left and right brain, PEAK, mom’s passive aggressive comments, and the will to change my current situation.
LLG: I learned today that what matters is my meaning, reasoning, and timing. No one else’s. Learned that physical pain sucks, and that I had way too much sick days this past year.
Thankful for cougar traditions, “… And that’s another cougar’s 1st down”, WSU football win, the #3 on each helmet, and being WSU alumna ‘07.
LLG: Learned that you can create anything if you have knowledge of resource and innovation. Also learned that the human voice has personality. Made me think dating sites should incorporate voice recordings. Learned about “Elder Millenial” on FB and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Thankful for the kitchen being my experiential lab, that I have most ingredients at hands reach, delivery confirmations, the Japanese language, and remote jobs.
